Pete performs workshops for colleges and universities on 'Effective Guitar Sound' - advising on how to achieve sounds which are expressive, focussed and dynamic both in a recording and live situation. The workshops cover all aspects of technique, equipment, effects and the most efficient way to set it all up. Performance advice is also included. These are fields which traditional teaching don't tend to cover and yet can make-or-break a career - certainly a performance.

Recording and live sound engineering also form part of the workshops and such art-forms as microphone placement and effective EQing/mixing for ensembles is fully covered. 'Effective and focussed listening' is the basis of the workshops and these are delivered in a friendly, humourous and down-to-earth style.

Pete also teaches guitar and bass guitar.
